A restaurant employee was arrested over the weekend following he allegedly adopted a young lady into the cafe lavatory.
Richland County sheriff’s deputies have billed Manuel Cuim, 18, with very first degree felony sexual perform with a slight and kidnapping just after they had been identified as to El Poblano Restaurant on Dutch Fork Street on Friday.
A lady underneath the age of 11 went into the cafe rest room Friday when Cuim, who worked in the cafe, allegedly followed her within and “touched the baby inappropriately,” according to a launch from the Richland County Sheriff’s Section.
The woman managed to battle off her attacker, and termed out to her parent, who rushed into the restroom. Cuim was apprehended at the scene. Deputies also viewed surveillance footage that confirmed him following the female into the lavatory.
The cafe is located a mile from Lake Murray Elementary School.
Cuim was arrested at the scene and transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
