MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) – A property owner in Tennessee stepped out of the shower to locate an uninvited visitor — specifically, a 6-foot snake — sprawled across his bathroom floor.
The incident occurred Monday at a residence in Murfreesboro, according to pest regulate experts with Trapper Jack Wildlife Professional. The house owner termed Trapper Jack at about 8 a.m. after recognizing the snake slithering in the rest room.
Responding technician David Nipper determined the intruder as a gray ratsnake, a non-venomous species also known as a “chicken snake.”
It is believed that the snake entered the Murfreesboro home as a result of a hole in the bathroom’s drywall. The homeowner explained to Nipper that he’d not long ago experienced some plumbing function performed and didn’t have time to patch it up.
Nipper unveiled the snake at a nearby reservoir outdoors of Nashville. No other info was instantly introduced.
Grey ratsnakes can be identified in all pieces of Tennessee, according to the state’s Wildlife Resources Company. Specimens commonly improve to involving 3.5 to 6 ft.
